Device and Process Development Intern (9359)

Qorvo’s Device and Process Development Internships are offered in our High Performance Analog business group. Specific projects and responsibilities will be determined based on the business needs at the time of the internship assignment.

 

Responsibilities may include:

  • Hands-on operation of semiconductor fabrication equipment to develop sophisticated wafer-level processes
  • Perform device characterization using the latest RF/microwave test equipment. Data collection via various metrology tools
  • Process troubleshooting and recipe optimization
  • Experimental design and execution of a fab engineering trial
  • One or more projects in areas involving Evaporation, CVD, PVD, thin film depositing, Electroplating, plasma etch, Dry/Wet Etch, Photolithography, Wafer Dicing, CMP etc.
  • Data analysis using software such as JMP, Spotfire, or Excel

 

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a MS, PhD (PhD preferred) in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related fields
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Self-starter with good problem-solving skills and interests for hands-on work in a clean room facility
  • Knowledge of semiconductor devices and their characterization, including DC and RF
  • Exposure of GaN or GaAs processing and device preferred
  • Semiconductor coursework and/or experience, including standard processing techniques (PVD, CVD, lithography, dry/wet etch, CMP)
  • Self-Starter with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Competitive hourly pay commensurate with experience: $31/hr-$42/hr (subject to change dependent on physical location). Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Qorvo reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as external competitiveness and internal comparability. Base compensation is one element of Total Rewards offered at Qorvo. More information on the Total Rewards package can be shared upon request.
