Civil Engineering Intern

TRC is seeking highly motivated and diverse Civil Engineering Interns for our Summer 2026 intern program out of our Scott Depot, WV Office. This is a paid full-time position. This position has the potential to transition into a Full-Time role upon graduation. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Project Managers and Team Leaders and partner with engineers, scientists, and technologists. 

 
Responsibilities  

Support civil engineer design tasks including sheet setup, drafting, and proposal development  

Support site layout and grading, utility design, cost estimates, bridge and highway design 

Assist in the preparation of civil construction drawings 

Use AUTOCAD, Civil-3D, HydroCAD, Microstation, PondPack, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office products  

Perform other related duties and responsibilities as necessary  

  

Minimum Requirements  

Must be at least 18 years old  

Pursuing Bachelor or Associate Degree in Civil Engineering, CAD, or related field  

Has excellent verbal and written communication skills  

Possesses solid technical and problem-solving skills  

Self-motivated, detail orientated person   

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)   

Honest, fun, hard-working and ready to learn and grow

In accordance with local law, the following compensation range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition: $17 to $26/hr. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
