Business Development Intern

We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Intern at our headquarters in Westerville, OH.
Business Development Interns support our Business Development teams with new and active business pursuits, while also participating in a formalized Summer Internship Program. The goal of the program is to enhance student’s business acumen through continuous learning and networking opportunities. Throughout the summer, interns have the opportunity to:
•Participate in a series of webinars that focus on professional networking, communication and presentation skills
•Listen and ask questions to our executives through our Executive Speaker Series
•Collaborate with other interns across North America on a Capstone Project
•Travel to Columbus, OH, to present their Capstone Project to leadership at the Intern Capstone Event
•Network with other interns and business leaders across all regions and business segments within the organization
•Be considered for full time roles
The scope of projects and daily tasks may include:
•Prospecting for new business
•Financial analysis of prospective customers
•Site visits to gain exposure to solutions DHL provides
•Weekly reporting to sector leadership
•Standardization and documentation of current processes
•Identifying key areas of process improvement
•
Eligibility & Qualifications:
•Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant field
•Graduating within the following academic year
•Ability to work full time for 10-12 weeks during the summer months and travel to Columbus, OH in late July
