(#R2025-0980) Summer 2026 Internship: IT Asset Management

QTS' summer internship program will provide you first hand experience into the fast paced world of the data center industry by providing weekly lunch and learns, a comprehensive orientation program, and site based activities, socials and volunteering events. Every intern will be assigned initiatives tied to real QTS objectives helping with anything pertaining to the whole life-cycle of a data center build and/or company operations.

The IT Asset Management Intern will gain valuable experience in designing or refining data center work spaces for ease of access and optimization of utilization of parts and materials. Responsibilities can include but aren't limited to:

 

Technology Intern:

Maintain updated budgets, schedules, and status reports for assigned projects.

Develop scopes of work for design, configuration, and commissioning of new workflow or storage areas and associated assets.

Participate in procurement and project cost estimates.

Assist with data interpretation, correlation, and reporting.

Work on technology procurement and delivery processes with the strategic procurement team.

Monitor the status and availability of in-production technologies.

Respond to break-fix issues and coordinate long-term corrective actions.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, Economics, Mathematics or similar

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint for presentations and Excel for data analysis and budgeting.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Must be a US Citizen

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Preferred degree programs: Supply Chain, Procurement, Warehousing, and similar

Current full-time enrollment in one of QTS’s partner institutions (listed below) or a Blackstone Launchpad affiliate school:

Auburn University

Kansas State University

Georgia State University

Southern Adventist University

Texas A&M University

University of Kansas

Previous internship or co-op experience in construction, finance, technology, HR, facilities engineering, or related industries.

Experience with data analysis tools such as Tableau or Power BI.

Involvement in community activities outside of schoolwork (athletics, clubs, volunteering, part-time employment).
