Civil Engineering Technician

Location: Bismarck, ND, Fargo, ND or Hawley, MN

Lowry Engineering is now accepting applications for a Civil Engineering Technician. Applicant may choose to work out of any of our three office locations (Bismarck, ND, Fargo, ND or Hawley, MN).

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support project engineer/lead Civil Engineering Technician in the preparation of design documents used for the planning, bidding, and construction of engineering related projects.
  • Creating CAD drawings from oral or written instructions
  • Organizing the production of plan sets
  • Laying out details and performing detailed quantity takeoffs
  • Create site and grading plans
  • Create surface from survey points using break lines, boundaries, and editing tools.
  • Assist land survey crew

Qualification Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree or 2+ years of experience in related field
  • Desire to learn and grow in the Civil Engineering/Land Surveying industry
  • Working knowledge of AutoDesk Civil 3D, or AutoCAD related software & Microsoft Office
  • Must be capable of working independently, learning quickly, and adapting to new challenges
  • Ability to contribute and work well on a team
  • Some travel may be required
  • Ability to conduct themselves in a professional manner
  • Excellent oral and written commutation skills
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
