JOB TITLE: Intern – EMS Real Time Systems Application Developer

LOCATION: Kansas City, MO
Wichita, KS
PAY RANGE: $22.00 - $26.00 / Hour
Intern Position for Full-Time Summer 2026 and Part-Time year-round beginning Fall 2026.
Scheduled Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Flexible working arrangements available.

We provide a number of intern events throughout the summer to burn some extra energy, including volunteer events, power plant tours, lunch and learns, and more
Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide support and development expertise for Core Business Systems.
- Assist with database and display updates to reflect grid changes
- Updating and creating basic applications and scripts
- Troubleshooting application bugs
- Support application and operating system patching
- Providing assistance and training to application end users
Education and Experience Requirements:
We are looking for third or fourth year students who are actively pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Required:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a professional environment
- Basic familiarity with workstations, networks and operating systems including Linux, Windows, and MS Office.
- Basic understanding of relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL and basic data modeling concepts
- Basic programming knowledge, especially in C# or C
- Experience or coursework involving shell scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) for task automation
