Loading Support Services Analyst

Position Overview:

Motiva’s Loading Support Services (LSS) team ensures that fuel products are safely and successfully distributed across our terminals 24/7. As an LSS Analyst, you’ll be the first line of support for our distribution network—monitoring systems, solving real-time issues, and keeping operations running smoothly.

 

This role is ideal for someone early in their career who wants to grow into supply chain, logistics, or commercial operations. You’ll gain experience working across multiple functions, learn how fuel distribution works at scale, and develop the technical and analytical skills to advance within Motiva.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-level support (24/7 operation, shifts required) for Motiva’s distribution terminals.
  • Monitor systems to track inventories, allocations, and product movement.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve real-time issues; escalate when needed.
  • Communicate terminal status updates to stakeholders during downtime or maintenance.
  • Work daily with scheduling and demand teams to manage allocations and inventory.
  • Support business groups (Pricing, Optimization, Sales, Finance, Demand Forecasting) with reporting and analysis.
  • Analyze operational data and present insights in a clear, actionable way.

Experience and Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business, IT, or related field. Equivalent experience in logistics, technical support, or operations may also be considered.
  • Comfortable with shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays (rotating schedule).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to handle multiple priorities at once.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • A problem solver who enjoys troubleshooting and working with data.
  • Ability to deliver results through others

 

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems, ERP tools, or scheduling systems.
  • Exposure to data analysis, reporting, or dashboarding tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
