Job Description
At Hayden, Associate Consultants (ACs) are problem solvers and strong critical thinkers. ACs are responsible for investigating data, conducting research, and translating analyses into insights that address our clients’ questions. In your first year, you will be focused on executing project workstreams, collaborating with team members to shape the story behind our recommendations, and learning Hayden’s core values. Successful ACs identify challenges and brainstorm new solutions, manage their time & priorities effectively, and develop content that supports client deliverables and meetings. ACs will also be expected to contribute to our culture and assist with recruiting efforts. We also encourage our ACs to participate and contribute their ideas though our internal committees (DEI&A, Social, Service). While we focus on the life sciences industry, you will learn business & strategy foundations that can be applied broadly throughout your career.
Daily & Monthly Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Research
Executes analyses leveraging SQL, XLS, and secondary research skills
Supports primary market research studies, including planning, building discussion guides, and synthesizing the research
Data Interpretation
Accurately translates data, research, and analyses into insights and key messages
Builds business acumen (industry knowledge, skills, & abilities) through curiosity & research
Product Content & Delivery
Supports the visualization and communication of insights by developing clear & cohesive deliverables

Minimum job requirements
Candidates/employees must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Strong academic record (GPA of 3.5+). We strongly encourage applicants who have demonstrated improvement over time to apply as well.
A bachelor’s degree or more from a 4-year institution.
A data-driven problem solver and strong critical thinker
Interest in learning more about Biopharma, US healthcare systems, and the life sciences industry
An innate curiosity to learn and grow and a passion for solving quantitative and qualitative problems creatively
Team-oriented individual who is comfortable working independently and collaboratively and keen to communicate with teammates
Eager to learn, practice, and lead data analyses using the following tools: SQL, Excel, and PowerPoint
Driven and adventurous, ready to take risks and use previous experiences and unique perspectives to grow Hayden
Ability to travel as needed (0-10% on average)

Compensation: Your expected annual compensation for this level for base and bonus is between $88,000 to $92,000. In addition to your base salary and annual bonus, you will also be eligible for profit sharing (based on corporate performance), employer 401k match, and significant performance incentive awards which occur at time of promotion. Hayden considers many factors in our compensation decisions which include but are not limited to the following: individual skills set/job performance, organization and industry demand, individual experience level and training, and geographic location.
