Part Time IT Support

Excited to announce we have a part time (18-24 hours per week)- entry level role for those pursuing an Information Technology career. This role provides infrastructure and operations support to AM General knowledge workers for those items the Level 1 Service Desk is unable to resolve. This role also assists in operational support of network hardware and telecommunications services which cannot be handled by our Managed Services partner(s). Increasingly, this role is also involved in supporting plant/shop floor infrastructure at AM General operations.

RINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deploy and support standard IS&S equipment and software to knowledge workers
  • Support knowledge workers either deskside or using remote support tools
  • Provide Incident and Service Request Fulfillment support
  • Demonstrate Asset Management techniques to deploy, track, and recover devices and peripherals
  • Participate in project-related activities across service providers
  • Provide support of voice and data services, working with Managed Services partner(s)
  • Assist InfoSec with hardening & remediating any endpoint devices, network equipment, or virtual machines for vulnerabilities
  • Learn to use various tools and platforms to support & monitor the Infrastructure & Operations landscape

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • High school diploma (or GED) and pursuing Bachelor of Arts/Science in Computer Science or Information Technology or Management Information Systems. Should be able to provide transcripts for coursework completed.
  • Onsite work requirements. This position may require travel between company locations and/or client sites. Candidates must have reliable transportation and maintain a valid driver’s license in accordance with applicable state laws.
  • General working knowledge of Windows-based PCs, tablets, mobile devices
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products (Office 365, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Word)
