Extended Care Aide
St. Stephen Preschool Extended Care Aide Description
The Extended Care Aide will care for children that attend our extended care program from 3:00-5:30 pm and exhibit a Christian, nurturing, caring attitude to all children and staff.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Faith in Jesus Christ; belief in the Gospel.
- Patience and flexibility; ability to relate to young children and adults
- Self-motivation
- Experience working with young children preferred
- 18 years or older
- Must pass a background check and comply with DHS requirements
Responsibility and Expectations:
- Provide a clean and safe environment for our preschool students
- Assist teachers in preparing materials and supplies for activities
- Maintain professional attitude, treating children and parents with respect and dignity
- Communicate with parents and staff effectively
- Attend meetings and trainings required by Director (per state licensing requirements)
- Perform any other tasks deemed necessary by Director
- Work 3:00-5:30pm Monday-Thursday, plus more hours if desired
- Keep certifications current (CPR, First Aid)
