Junior Accountant / Associate Accountant / Accountant / Business Strategist
About Us
Lystrup Maher LLC is an aerospace engineering and consulting firm specializing in drone design. We’re a growing startup looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to help us keep our books clean, support executive decisions, provide monthly analytics, support payroll, invoice clients, and ensure compliance as we expand.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and categorize transactions in QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Time
- Process payroll for employees and contractors
- Prepare and send client invoices, track accounts receivable
- Assist with quarterly budgets, reports, and executive financial goals
- Coordinate with project manager to support employee hours metrics tracking
- Generate recurring and one-off financial reports with the Project Manager and Buyer
- Coordinate with our external accounting firm on quarterly tax filings and compliance
- Maintain audit-ready, organized records
- Support additional finance/accounting needs in a fast-paced startup environment
What We’re Looking For
- U.S. citizenship required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (completed or in progress)
- 0–2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or internship experience
- Familiarity with QuickBooks and payroll systems preferred
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
- Ability to work on-site in Provo, Utah (5 min drive from BYU Tanner building)
- Proactive, reliable, and eager to grow with the company
