Position Overview
At UCR, telling our story is just as important as building the robots themselves. As a Marketing Intern, you’ll play a hands-on role in documenting and sharing UCR’s progress with the world. You’ll be responsible for capturing daily photos and videos of our robots, people, and operations, transforming them into engaging content that communicates our mission and inspires others.
Responsibilities
Shoot short-form and long-form videos every day of UCR robots in action.
Take high-quality photos daily of robots, team activities, and facilities.
Assist with editing and preparing content for social media and marketing campaigns.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop creative ways to showcase UCR’s work.
Maintain an organized library of photo and video assets.
Contribute ideas for expanding UCR’s visual storytelling strategy.
Requirements
Strong interest in photography, videography, or digital content creation.
Basic skills in photo and video editing (Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Canva, or similar).
A creative eye and attention to detail.
Reliability and consistency in capturing content daily.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have
Experience managing social media accounts or producing content for online platforms.
Previous internship, coursework, or personal projects in photography or video production.
Familiarity with professional cameras or editing equipment.
Passion for robotics, engineering, or technology storytelling.
