Federal Work-Study (FWS) Office Assistant
The School of Education, Department of Human Development & Psychoeducational Studies is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented student to serve as an Office Assistant through the Federal Work-Study (FWS) Program. This position provides valuable professional experience in office administration while supporting the department’s commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service.
Responsibilities
- Administrative Support – Work closely with and provide assistance to the HDPES Administrative Assistant II, supporting day-to-day departmental operations.
- Front Desk Coverage – Point of contact for the office; answer phones, take messages, greet visitors, and provide basic information about the department.
- Clerical Support – Perform routine office tasks such as filing, photocopying, scanning, shredding, and maintaining organized records.
- Data Entry & Correspondence – Enter information accurately into databases, prepare simple reports, and assist with drafting or distributing emails and memos.
- Scheduling Assistance – Support faculty and staff by helping to manage calendars, reserve rooms, and track appointments.
- General Office Operations – Monitor supplies, keep common areas tidy, and assist with other assignments to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Additional duties as assigned
