Retail Management Internship
Are you looking for an opportunity to accelerate your leadership skills this summer? We are searching for students passionate about all things retail and love the thought that not every day is the same. This internship is set at a Von Maur location nearest you during the summer. Over the 10-week internship, you will see the unpredictability of retail firsthand; learning how to adapt and be flexible while maintaining our customer service standards.
What to expect:
- Manage a fast-paced department and execute a semi-annual event
- Motivate associates to deliver outstanding customer service-train, coach, and lead by example
- Assess associate performance to improve the quality of service the customer receives, increase sales, and meet department goals
- Develop and implement solutions to solve customer problems and department needs
- Analyze business by reviewing various selling and store reports
- Multi-task and manage assigned projects and events that directly impact our business
- Visit to the corporate office in Davenport, IA
Our ideal candidate:
- Graduation date of December 2026, May 2027, December 2027, or May 2028 from a college/university
- Major related to Management, Business, or Fashion
- Available to work full time (35-40 hrs/week) and retail hours (mix of days, nights, and weekends)
- Retail or customer service experience preferred
- Possesses a positive attitude as well as strong communication skills and a passion for engaging with people
- Demonstrates time management and organizational skills
