Position Overview
We’re looking for an eCommerce Optimization Intern with a passion for digital marketing and a curiosity for testing new ideas to improve user experience and sales performance. This role will provide hands-on experience in eCommerce optimization, digital marketing, and website analysis. The intern will assist in identifying and implementing strategic tests on Relix Marketplace to increase conversions, drive sales, and enhance the overall customer journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Testing and Optimization: Assist in designing, executing, and analyzing A/B tests and multivariate experiments to optimize the Relix Marketplace shopping experience—test variables such as layout, images, copy, and promotional offers.
- Conversion Rate Analysis: Review website analytics to identify opportunities to increase conversion rates, reduce cart abandonment, and enhance user engagement.
- User Experience (UX) Improvement: Collaborate with the cross-functional teams to recommend website layout, navigation, and overall design changes to improve UX.
- Product Categorization & Organization: Test different category structures and filtering options to ensure seamless product discovery.
- Email Marketing Optimization: Support testing and optimizing email campaigns to drive traffic and sales, exploring different subject lines, call-to-action buttons, and content strategies.
- Data Collection & Reporting: Help collect and analyze performance metrics from Shopify, Klayvio, Google Analytics, and other tools to assess test outcomes. Prepare insights and recommendations for future optimizations.
- Market Research: Monitor industry trends, competitor analysis, and emerging eCommerce best practices to recommend new strategies for Relix Marketplace.
Required Qualifications
- Educational Background: Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an eCommerce, Marketing, or Business related program.
- Digital Marketing Skills: Basic knowledge of eCommerce and digital marketing principles; familiarity with A/B testing and conversion rate optimization a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Comfortable with data analysis and interpretation, especially with tools like Google Analytics and Shopify.
- Creative Problem Solving: Ability to think creatively to solve challenges and improve the customer journey on the website.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Google Sheets, with a willingness to learn new platforms and tools.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Shopify, Klayvio, Google Analytics, and A/B testing tools
- Experience in content management, email marketing, or eCommerce platforms
- Interest in live music, merchandising, or the music industry
