Summary:
The candidate for this position will implement and maintain operating procedures and provide direct supervision to administrative and line staff.
Essential Functions:
- Be familiar with Employee Handbook, Personnel Policies, Procedures Manual, and Operating Procedures Manual to administer policies and procedures fairly and consistently to staff and residents.
- Conduct weekly health and safety inspections identify maintenance and equipment problems in areas assigned and initiate action to comply with safety and housekeeping standards and guarantee a healthful environment to residents and staff.
- Coordinate staff work schedules with department heads to ensure all shifts are adequately covered, contract requirements are met, and residents are always guaranteed access to staff.
- Assume duties of the CEO in their absence.
- Be familiar with resident grievance procedures to monitor appeals and make recommendations to CEO for final disposition fairly and consistently.
- Conduct employment interviews in accordance with Holly Hill procedures. May either recommend candidates or make final selection as designated by CEO.
- Monitor staff performance in areas assigned to ensure performance standards are met Use disciplinary action to correct unsatisfactory performance. Prepare staff performance evaluations before the due date so that employees are aware of areas in need of improvement, areas done well, and so that payroll increases are processed in a timely manner
- Oversee plant services to ensure obligations are being met
- Monitor and supervise medical services to ensure that residents receive proper medical care in accordance with contractual terms including initial assessment, sick call, and emergency treatment.
- Relieve other departments, as occasionally needed to maintain the security of the facility. Be on-call to respond to emergency situations.
- Oversee training and security mandates. Establish training protocol;
- Comply with Holly Hill work rules and policies as explained in the company Employee Handbook and the facility policy and operations manual; and respond positively to directives from management in cooperative spirit to ensure conformance to standards.
- Participate in staff meetings by sharing observations ad recommendations regarding the facility, residents, and staff relations to identify and solve problems and function as a unified team.
- Maintain confidentially obtained through job duties regarding employees, vendors, residents, outside agencies, etc. so that sensitive information is only given on a “need to know” basis.
- Complete in-service training to meet the requirements for continued personal and professional self-development
- Communicate effectively with all levels of staff in a manner that promotes a team spirit and a sense of cooperation.
- Support and promote the trauma informed care model and its commitments.
Minimum Requirements:
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree (masters preferred) in related field or equivalent experience and one (1) year supervisory experience or five (5) years’ experience in related field and one (1) year in a supervisory position (e.g. Case Manager, Parole or Probation Officer or Correctional Officer).
KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of current management techniques. Familiar with Kentucky licensing and credentialing regulations. Knowledge of training and security issues.
SKILLS / ABILITIES:
- Write clear reports in English, using correct grammar. Able to delegate motivate control schedule and train, effectively interface with residents and staff; react quickly and appropriately in an emergency.

PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS:
- Frequent walking, standing, sitting; bending, stooping, lifting (25 lbs. maximum); gross and fine manual dexterity, must be able to visually observe residents and staff hear, understand, and interpret resident and employee behavior, detect orders through sense of smell the alcohol or cigarette smoke communicate verbally and in writing Residents may become argumentative or unruly at times, requiring quick, reflexive responses.
