Nursery Teacher (Faith-Based, Part-Time – Sundays & Thursdays)

 

Job Type:

Part-Time – Sundays thru Thursday (4-6 hours per day)

We are a Christian, faith-based nursery dedicated to providing a loving, safe, and engaging environment for children ages 0 to 6. Our mission is to plant the seeds of faith early through nurturing care, simple learning activities, and Biblical principles.

 

Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable, warm-hearted Nursery Teacher to join our team! If you have a background in Early Childhood Education and a passion for caring for young children in a faith-filled environment, we would love to meet you. The ideal candidate is comfortable leading simple Bible-based activities and can commit consistently to Sundays and Thursdays, 4 hours per day.

Qualifications

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide loving, age-appropriate care for children ages 0 to 6
  • Lead simple faith-based activities, songs, and Bible lessons
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized nursery environment
  • Change diapers, assist with toileting, and manage classroom transitions
  • Engage with children through play, stories, and music
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation procedures
  • Communicate kindly and professionally with parents and staff
  • Arrive on time and be consistently present for assigned days

 

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience in early childhood care, preschool, or church nursery
  • Background in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of child development and classroom safety
  • Comfortable incorporating Christian teachings and faith-based values
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willing to obtain)
  • Dependable, nurturing, and enthusiastic about working with children

 

Schedule:

  • Sundays: 7:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday - Thursdays: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  • 4-6 hours per day 
  • Additional hours available if desired (up to 28 hours per week)
