Financial Controller

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our team and oversee the financial operations of our U.S. and Canadian subsidiaries. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong expertise in financial risk control, tax planning, and cross-border financial management. This role will play a key part in building a robust financial infrastructure that supports business growth while mitigating risks.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement financial risk control systems, including but not limited to:

  • Accounts receivable risk management system
  • Finished goods inventory control system
  • Warehouse accounting and control system
  • Pricing oversight and compliance framework
  • Identification and mitigation of potential legal risks

2. Tax Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day tax filings and long-term tax planning for all U.S. subsidiaries
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations

3. Audit Coordination:

  • Manage audit processes for all U.S. subsidiaries
  • Liaise with external auditors and ensure timely audit completion

4. General Ledger Oversight:

  • Supervise the full-cycle accounting of U.S. legal entities
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting

5. Canada Operations:

  • Lead and manage full accounting operations for the Canadian subsidiary

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • CPA or other professional accounting certification required
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial management, including budgeting, reporting, and financial analysis
  • Strong understanding of cross-border accounting practices and tax regulations
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across cultures and international teams
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin or Cantonese required
