Summer 2026: Robotics Engineering Intern

Robotics Engineering Intern

As a Robotics Engineer intern, you will implement and develop robotic technologies that change the lives of our users. You will innovate and explore new robotic solutions to deploy into Milwaukee products around the world. 

 

You'll execute EXTREME OWNERSHIP through these duties and responsibilities: 

Develop and test robotic systems 

Implement common algorithms in areas of robotics, e.g. computer vision, state estimation (localization/SLAM), planning, control 

Properly apply existing robotic algorithms and technologies 

 

The TOOLS you’ll bring with you: 

Working towards a Bachelor of Science Degree in Robotics, Computer Science, or other related engineering fields 

Hands-on experience in robotics in industry or research or similar settings 

Working knowledge in one or more of the following areas: computer vision, state estimation (localization/SLAM), planning, control  

Experience in ROS or ROS2 

Experience in C/C++ and Python 

Familiarity with development in Linux environment 

 

Other TOOLS we prefer you to have: 

Working towards a Master's degree or PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, or other related engineering fields 

Theoretical understanding and practical experience in two or more of the following areas: computer vision, state estimation (localization/SLAM), planning, control 

Experience in system integration, both hardware and software 

Excellent communication skills and problem-solving skills 

A work ethic of being self-motivated, organized, efficient, and process oriented
