Physical Therapist Assistant
Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) – Full-Time | Lancaster County, PA
New grad? We've been waiting for you.
We know what it feels like to finish school excited about helping people — and then worry that your first job will grind that excitement right out of you. High patient volumes. Rushed appointments. No mentorship. Just figure it out.
That's not HARTZ PT. Not even close.
HARTZ Physical Therapy has been Lancaster County's most trusted outpatient practice for over 25 years — voted #1 Reader's Choice for 25 consecutive years and named WebPT's Practice of the Year in 2024. We're independent, family-owned, and built by a physical therapist who believed that when you take care of your team, great care follows naturally.
We've built the kind of place we wish existed when we were starting out. And we'd love for it to be where your career begins.

What Your First Job Should Actually Look Like
🎓 Real Mentorship from Day One You won't be thrown to the wolves here. Our comprehensive onboarding program and a network of over 30 clinicians within 20 miles means you'll always have experienced support around you. Ask questions. Make mistakes. Grow. That's exactly what we're here for.
🤝 You'll Never Treat Alone This is the part that makes HARTZ PT truly different. Every PTA is paired directly with a Physical Therapist, working together on one shared caseload. You're not just handed a plan and sent off on your own — you have a clinical partner beside you every step of the way. For a new grad, that's not just a perk. That's everything.
⏱️ Time to Actually Learn — and Actually Treat Remember in school when you learned how to truly connect with a patient and make a real difference? You'll actually get to do that here. We cap our schedule at just 44 visits per week — not the 55–70 you'll find at high-volume clinics. Appointments are a minimum of 45 minutes, most are a full hour. One-on-one. Consistent. The way it's supposed to be.
💸 We'll Help You Tackle Your Student Loans Every month, we pay down your student loan principal — reducing your interest and accelerating your payoff. We know the debt is real. So is our commitment to helping you get out from under it.
📚 Virtually Unlimited Continuing Education Your learning doesn't stop at graduation — and we'll fund what comes next. No MedBridge-only restrictions. We send our team to hands-on courses, cover your APTA dues, and won't make you burn vacation days for weekday classes.
💰 Compensation That Grows With You
- Base salary: $40,000–$60,000
- Monthly productivity bonus (achievable at just 38 patients/week)
- Pay bumps for certifications, niche development, student mentorship, and community involvement
- Student loan principal payoff — every month
- Company-funded 401(k) — start building your future from day one
Our total compensation package is designed to grow with you — and most practices simply can't match it.
🏥 Benefits That Actually Cover You Options for 100% company-paid health, dental, vision, and short-term disability. Virtual health plan and free generic prescriptions for your whole family.
🌴 Yes, We Said Caribbean Team building isn't just pizza parties here. We take our team on all-inclusive trips to Caribbean destinations. Real trips. Real connection. Real fun. Yes, really.
🎉 A Culture That Has Your Back Birthdays, milestones, your first solo success with a patient — we celebrate all of it. We're a tight-knit team deeply rooted in Lancaster County, from our 22nd annual Fall Blast 5K to the everyday moments that remind you why you chose this field.
⏰ A Life Outside of Work — 3.5–5 weeks of combined vacation, sick time, and paid holidays based on experience. Weekends are yours — always. Some evening availability required during the week, but we keep it reasonable.
You're Ready. We'll Help You Prove It.

You're the right fit if you:
- Are excited about orthopedics and eager to build real clinical skills
- Want a mentor, not just a manager
- Want a clinical partner, not just a supervisor

- Are ready to show up, work hard, and grow fast in a place that will invest in you right back
