City Garden Montessori School - Part-Time Enrichment Assistant

This position supports the successful implementation of enrichment programming for City Garden students in grades PreK–8th grade. Each Friday from 12:45–3:45 PM, student assistants will work with school staff to help facilitate high-quality, hands-on learning experiences for students including STEM, karate, art, sports, and much! This role contributes to a vibrant learning environment while promoting student engagement, safety, and creativity.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist staff members with setting up and organizing enrichment stations
  • Support students during activities by offering guidance, encouragement, and supervision
  • Help maintain an orderly and safe learning space
  • Aid in the cleanup and reset of materials after sessions
  • Engage positively with students across age groups
  • Communicate with staff members to ensure smooth transitions between activities

 

Qualifications: 

  • Must be a current college student eligible for work study
  • Interest in education, youth development, or related fields
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with staff
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional
  • Willingness to work with children of varying ages and backgrounds
  • Experience working with children in school or community settings
  • Familiarity with enrichment topics such as arts, STEM, movement, or outdoor play
  • Coursework or major in Education, Child Development, or a related field
  • Creative problem-solving and flexibility in dynamic environments

 

Hours: Friday 12:45 - 3:45 PM
