About Alpine Software
Alpine Software builds industry-leading records management and emergency response software for fire departments across the United States. Our mission is to help first responders operate more efficiently, save lives, and better serve their communities.
We are growing rapidly and are looking for a motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our team. If you are engaging, inquisitive, and willing to learn, this is a great opportunity to break into B2B Software Sales.
Role Overview
What do Larry Ellison (Oracle CEO), Steve Ballmer (Microsoft CEO) and Ginni Rometty (IBM CEO) have in common? They started their software career in sales.
As a BDR, your primary responsibility will be to generate new business opportunities by engaging with fire departments and related organizations. You’ll use a mix of outbound cold calling, email, LinkedIn outreach, and in-person networking to set qualified demos for our Account Executives. You’ll also represent Alpine Software at trade shows and events, where you’ll connect with potential customers face-to-face.
To be successful, you will need a deep understanding of our product and industry. This requires a curious mind, intelligence, and genuine interest in people.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct outbound cold calls to fire departments and related organizations to generate interest and schedule product demos for Account Executives.
Use email, LinkedIn, and other channels to engage prospects and build pipeline.
Represent Alpine Software at trade shows, industry events, and in-person networking opportunities.
Qualify leads to ensure alignment with our ideal customer profile.
Collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to improve outreach strategies.
Maintain accurate records of prospect interactions in CRM (HubSpot experience is a plus).
Consistently meet or exceed weekly and monthly activity and meeting goals.
What We’re Looking For
Strong communication skills and a willingness to pick up the phone for cold calls.
Curiosity and eagerness to learn about our software platform and the fire/EMS industry.
Strong work ethic and persistence when engaging with prospects.
