  • 5:30-7:00 p.m. for all three studios (2D, 3D, Computer/Photography)

Meet our staff to learn about the Studio Monitor positions in the School of Art & Design, ask questions, and sign up for a shift or two (upon confirmation of Federal Work-Study). If you are unable to attend, please respond to this email (art@nmu.edu). The hiring meeting is used to set the schedule for the semester. Please make sure to have employment hiring documents available within a few days of hire.*

AD STUDIO MONITORS 

Basic Responsibilities:

Specific duties are determined based on the area assigned, but in general, Studio Monitors are responsible for the following:

  • Opening and closing the studios
  • Ensuring the security of the studios and equipment
  • Managing student printing
  • Checking out and returning equipment
  • Ensuring that equipment is used safely
  • Keeping the appropriate work areas orderly and ready for use
  • Remaining at work stations for the entirety of the 2-hour shifts
  • Scheduling training for all three studio areas (training dates TBD)
