Manufacturing CAD Drafter

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing CAD Drafter to join our design and engineering team. This role involves creating and revising technical drawings, models, and manufacturing documentation to support production operations. The ideal candidate will have strong drafting skills, manufacturing knowledge, and the ability to work closely with engineers, fabricators, and project managers.

Key Responsibilities:

· Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for manufacturing components, assemblies, and systems.

· Revise and update existing designs to meet engineering changes and customer requirements.

· Collaborate with engineers to ensure designs meet performance, safety, and quality standards.

· Prepare manufacturing documentation such as bills of materials (BOMs) and fabrication instructions.

· Maintain drawing accuracy, revision control, and adherence to company drafting standards.

· Support prototyping, testing, and production troubleshooting when required.

· Ensure compliance with industry standards and applicable codes.

Qualifications:

· Associate’s degree or certificate in Drafting, Design Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

· 2+ years of experience in CAD drafting within a manufacturing environment.

· Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other industry-standard CAD software.

· Understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, sheet metal fabrication, or assembly.

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and schematics.
