Scanning Operators/Associates

  • Position:   Scanning Operators/Associates (Contract Role) Duration: 12-18 months with potential conversion 
  • Location: 71 South High Street Columbus, OH (the operation will be setup in the basement of the building)
  • Parking: Grange Building- REIMBURSED
  • Pay: $18/hr
  • Type: ONSITE (100%) Will be required to stand/be on their feet for multiple hours (throughout the shift)
  • Schedule: 40 hours per week onsite
  • Background Check: Must clear background and drug test before able to start 
  • Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30 AM-5:30 PM ONSITE
  • Dress Code: Casual work clothes – tennis shoes are OK

Scope of work: 

  • They will be scanning books
  • NO client information or proprietary information will be shared
  • Someone will be operating a cutter, breaking the spines of books
  • Scanners will be provided the tools and equipment
  • They will be setting up in the basement of the building and will be standing for long periods of time (based on the layout, they will assess if they can do this work while sitting so they can rotate between sitting and standing)
  • It is very simple work, but very repetitive work
  • Will not have to leave work area often past scanning

 Requirements:

  • Attention to detail
  • Must be able to communicate with colleagues through the day– they need to communicate more than just yes/no responsive
  • Previous experience working in a standing role – i.e. warehouse, retail, hospitality
