Print/Mail Production Supervisor

The Supervisor oversees and manages the production floor at PrintComm. This role is responsible for coordinating and executing the final stages of the printing process, ensuring high-quality finished products that meet or exceed customer expectations. The Supervisor is also responsible for leading a team of skilled workers, managing resources efficiently, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment.  

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Meet company and departmental standards, including Customer Requirements, Compliance, Safety, Quality, etc. 
  • Responsible for accurate and complete daily, weekly, and monthly reports 
  • Create reports and/or provide feedback to upper management. 
  • Follows Quality Procedures and Work Instructions, and complete forms and checklists as needed. 
  • Hold daily departmental meetings with key staff. 
  • Maintain a schedule and communicate the expected time to start and complete tasks. 
  • Coach and train operators to achieve maximum efficiency. This includes auditing logs, time entry, and utilizing this data to help ensure desired standards are achieved. Discipline when necessary. 
  • Attend production meetings and be prepared to answer questions regarding jobs as well as communicate material needs.  
  • Troubleshoot any machine issues, determine when it’s something we can fix or if sub-contractor assistance is necessary. Arrange for service when necessary.  
  • Set up and maintain an efficient workflow with appropriate inspections. 
  • Act as a back-up for staff and perform their duties, as necessary. 
  • Work with employees to keep the production floor clean and organized. 
  • Work extended hours, as business needs dictate 

 Preferred Skills

  • 3-5 years experience in a similar role within the printing or finishing industry 
  • Strong leadership and team management skills. 
  • Excellent organization and multitasking abilities. 
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards. 
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. 
  • Demonstrated ability to train operators to become more proficient on output, efficiency, quality and machine troubleshooting. 
  • Proficiency in USPS drop shipping methods and LTL freight booking. 
  • Proficiency in USPS presort/automation processes and sorting necessary for compliance.  
  • Knowledge of processes associated with drop shipping
