The Student Activities Office (SAO)
The HUB has an outstanding opportunity for a Graduate Student Program Coordinator to join our team.
- Expected Start Date: September 18th, 2025.
- Hours Per Week: 19.5 per week.
- Pay Rate Range: $25 - $30 per hour.
- Schedule is flexible based on classes, with morning availability preferred. Majority of work to be performed in an office setting. Occasional evening and weekend work expected.
- May fulfill graduate practicum/internship requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Graduate Student Program Coordinator (GSPC) plays an integral role in the operations and programming of the Student Activities Office (SAO). Their contributions support both administrative functions and student development initiatives. The following outlines expectations, responsibilities, and duties associated with the GSPC role:
Engagement and Communication
- Actively participate in office operations, including attendance at staff meetings, retreats, and other departmental gatherings.
- Engage in regular check-ins with site supervisors.
Program Development and Support
- Support the design and execution of programs that promote student learning and engagement through extra- and co-curricular activities. Sample projects may include:
- Creating educational materials for Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) for publication on the SAO Resources page or HuskyLink database.
- Assisting in the evaluation and enhancement of club registration processes.
- Conducting outreach and delivering presentations to RSOs, campus departments, and RSO advisors regarding available resources.
- Organizing and compiling documentation for the Associated Students of the University of Washington (ASUW) and the Graduate and Professional Student Senate (GPSS).
- Preparing and facilitating orientations and training sessions for ASUW and GPSS members.
Administrative and Operational Support
- Assist Student Activities Advisors with assigned projects under the guidance of the Associate Director and Assistant Directors.
- Provide administrative support for the department’s events calendar and project tracking systems.
- Maintain public records in accordance with University Record Retention policies.
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission and operations of the SAO.
- Participate in unit- and department-level training as scheduled.
- Complete all required University onboarding and training modules.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
All HUB student employees must meet these minimum requirements to be eligible for employment:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Current graduate student enrolled in 4 credits or granted “On Leave” status.
- Must be able to work on-site at the UW-Seattle campus for all work hours.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
