Program Support Intern (10 Hours/Week)
Location: Hybrid (Chicago, IL)
Compensation: $17/hour ($170 per week)
Dates: September – December 2025, with potential extension into 2026

Classical Music Chicago (CMC) presents free, world-class classical music concerts and educational initiatives that make music accessible to people of all ages, backgrounds, and means. Through our programs, we support and showcase the next generation of classical musicians while enriching Chicago’s cultural life.
Position Summary
CMC is seeking a Program Support Intern to assist the Artistic and Community Programs Manager with the coordination and execution of our concert series and educational programs. This role offers hands-on experience in arts administration and nonprofit program management.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with logistical planning for concerts and educational programs, including venue setup and artist coordination.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance and program feedback.
- Support the preparation of printed programs, concert materials, contracts, and itineraries.
- Plan and manage logistics for concerts and educational programs, including scheduling rehearsals and coordinating artist accommodations.
- Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support program operations.
Schedule & Requirements
- 10 hours per week (hybrid position)
- Required onsite: Wednesdays, 9:00 AM – 1:30 PM
- Remaining hours: remote/flexible
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Interest in classical music, arts administration, or nonprofit work is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace preferred.
