A fast-growing aerospace and technology company in Santa Cruz, CA is looking for a Data Scientist to join its core analytics team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about solving complex data problems, building scalable tools, and collaborating with cross-functional experts in a fast-paced environment.
Role:
🚀 Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and subject matter experts on software and analytics projects
📊 Analyze and interpret large datasets from aircraft, simulators, and testing equipment
🛠️ Develop tools, dashboards, and visualization systems for reporting and monitoring
📈 Build algorithms to predict failures and improve reliability using sensor and time-series data
⚙️ Improve software architectures, support CI/CD pipelines, and enhance analytics workflows
💡 Stay current with advancements in software, machine learning, and data engineering
Requirements:
🎓 BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of experience
💻 Expert software engineering skills with Python, SQL, and Unix-based platforms
📊 Strong background in data science, statistics, predictive modeling, and visualization
🛠️ Experience with data pipelines, ETL, transformations, APIs, and analytics tools
🤖 Hands-on experience with Machine Learning and GenAI LLMs
🔧 Skilled with git, IDEs, debugging, and troubleshooting complex issues
⭐ Proven ability to lead projects from conception to delivery
🗣️ Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

💵 Salary range: $115,700 – $181,600 annually (based on experience)
