Position Overview:
We are seeking a Fundraising Intern to support our work with nonprofits, campaigns, and community-based organizations. This role is ideal for students interested in nonprofit leadership, development, politics, or communications. You’ll gain hands-on experience in fundraising strategy, donor engagement, grant research, and event planning, while learning directly from experienced professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct donor and prospect research to support fundraising campaigns.
- Assist with grant research, writing, and tracking.
- Draft fundraising copy such as appeal letters, donor updates, and email campaigns.
- Help coordinate donor events, stewardship activities, and campaign logistics.
- Provide support in donor database management and reporting.
- Assist with building cases for support, donor presentations, and fundraising materials.
- Contribute to the development of fundraising plans and strategies.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Research and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Suite.
- Experience with Canva or design tools a plus (for donor materials).
- Interest in fundraising, nonprofit management, political campaigns, or business development.
- Willingness to learn and take initiative in projects.
Hours & Compensation:
- Part-time, 5–10 hours per week.
- Hybrid role (mix of in-person and remote work).
- Compensation: $1,000 stipend per semester (averages $10–14/hr depending on weekly hours).
- Course credit available if approved by your college/university.
Timeline:
Fall 2025 semester start, with opportunities to continue into Spring or year-round.
