Internship – Project Manager for eQMS Prototype to Enterprise Implementation
About the Role:
We are offering a part-time, stipend-based internship for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to serve as a Project Manager Intern on a high-impact software development project. The selected intern will support the transition of our modular Electronic Quality Management System (eQMS) from a working prototype into a production-grade enterprise application, intended for aerospace, defense, and medical device industries.
You will work directly with the founder and the software development team to manage timelines, coordinate execution, and ensure delivery milestones are met—while playing a key role in organizing and maintaining core software lifecycle documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate with an offshore development team to implement modular features and UI enhancements
Manage weekly development sprints and monitor progress against timeline
Track development hours and ensure efficient use of resources
Facilitate communication across stakeholders and ensure alignment with requirements
Lead the structuring, version control, and review of all software lifecycle documentation, including:
- Software Development Plan (SDP)
- User Requirements Specifications (URS)
- Detailed Design Specifications (DDS)
- System Architecture Diagrams
- Validation Protocols and Test Case Reviews
Document project status and deliverables using project tracking tools
Support functional validation and testing coordination of system modules
Identify and suggest improvements to team workflows and system usability
Skills You’ll Use or Learn:
- Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Notion)
- Formal documentation practices for regulated software environments
- Technical writing for URS, DDS, and validation protocols
- Exposure to ISO 9001, AS9100, and ISO 13485-aligned systems
- Basics of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Effective collaboration with remote and cross-functional teams
Minimum Requirements:
- Currently enrolled or recently graduated in Project Management, Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or a related field
- Excellent organizational, writing, and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, especially for document structure and version control
- Interest in software quality, compliance, and documentation standards
- Availability for 10–12 weeks, approximately 10–15 hours/week (flexible schedule)
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Compensation and Structure:
- $150 stipend every 2 weeks
- Fully remote
- Hands-on mentorship and exposure to enterprise-level software development
