Bobcat Farm is a student-run regenerative vegetable and fruit farm located at Texas State University's Freeman Ranch Center.

The main priorities of this position are to assist in all aspects of crop production, preparing garden beds, propagating seeds, transplanting, harvesting and processing produce. Additionally, produce is sold to Chartwells Dining Services and local farmers markets, so assistance to get produce to market is critical.

Duties require students working outside in the weather and in the Bobcat Farm hoop house. Students will be involved with watering, planting, mulching and maintaining outdoor field plots. Students must have a good attitude, be willing to get dirty/hot/sweaty/cold sometimes, and work well with a team as well as independently. While the schedule is flexible and can include evenings or weekends, students should be willing to work a regular schedule weekly.

The evaluation process occurs concurrently, such that students are evaluated on criteria including timeliness and ability to keep to their posted schedule, the ability to stay on and complete posted tasks, and maintain a positive attitude while working alone and with a team, among other items.

The pay is $17/hour.
