Bilingual Speech Language Pathologist

SkyAbove Therapy is looking for a passionate and skilled Bilingual Speech Language Pathologist to join our supportive special education team for the 2025-2026 school year!

Work collaboratively in a dynamic school environment, providing essential evaluation and therapy services to students from Early Childhood and Elementary. If you love helping children overcome communication challenges and thrive in their education, we want to hear from you!

What You'll Do:

  • Provide evaluations of students
  • Consultation services and/or direct appropriate services
  • Assess / consult with school district staff, teachers, and parents.
  • Attend staffing, Individual Education Plan (IEP) and 504 meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings and speech-language meetings as needed.
  • Attend eligibility staffing and IEP meetings with school district staff and parents.
  • Complete evaluation reports and developing IEPs utilizing school’s online IEP system.
  • Complete encounter logs for all services provided to students within 24 hours of service.
  • Diagnostic assistance as approved and requested by the school district.
  • Communicate and function effectively as a member of a classroom and school team (related service providers, paraprofessionals, teachers, administrators, parents).
  • Attend school district meetings when applicable and/or as requested by the department.

What You Bring:

  • Language: A bilingual person who fluently speaks Spanish is required.
  • Education: Master's Degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Licensure: A current Florida Department of Health (DOH) license as a Speech-Language Pathologist OR eligibility for a Florida Department of Education (DOE) certificate.
  • Certification: ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.

  • Skills: A genuine passion for working with pediatric populations, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Compliance: Ability to pass all required school district background checks.
