POSITION SUMMARY
The department office assistant will work with the department chair and faculty on a variety of tasks to include:
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Creating and posting studio schedules for Studio 104, Deming Dance Theater, and Winn Seeley Dance Studio
- Creating and posting department posters, fliers, and announcements
- Creating and maintaining the department’s “Spotlight” newsletter online, twice monthly
- Copying, scanning, and other office tasks for the chair and/or department faculty
- Creating and maintaining the department’s archives (scrapbook and photographic files)
- Updating department bulletin boards with announcements, photos, fliers and information
- Other duties as coordinated with the department chair, including creating and maintaining majors, minors, Arts Scholars lists; costume closet inventory, and/or video and photo archive materials
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to create studio use schedules, announcements (posters, fliers) bi-monthly department newsletter “Spotlight.
- Post content to the department’s Instagram account.
- Copying, scanning, and general office work.
- Familiarity with department’s photo, print, and costume archives to maintain and add to the archives.
- Work with department chair on other duties as appropriate.
