Position Title: Accompanist student drummer for Diasporic dance classes

Hours per wk: 6 hrs per week

POSITION SUMMARY
Experienced student drummer needed to accompany Diasporic dance classes (Jamaican and West African dance) alongside the department’s musical director, Ryan Russell. Requires 6 hours a week, from 11:20 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. AND 1:10-2:40 on Wednesday and Friday.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Responsibilities include playing specific rhythms and patterns as indicated, supporting the dance students and faculty through engaged commitment to the class, and being consistent in attendance.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Drummers must have training in Diasporic drum rhythms, be on time to class sessions, and be attentive to guidance and training from Ryan Russell.
