Pastor for Worship & Outreach
Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Lead Pastor, the Pastor for Worship & Outreach leads in crafting vibrant worship services while spearheading community and family ministry initiatives. This full-time role ensures a seamless blend of biblical leadership, musical
leadership, and hands-on outreach, engaging children, youth, adults, and the wider
community in the gospel.
Key Responsibilities
1. Worship Leadership
Design and lead weekly worship services, integrating worship, music, and multimedia.
Recruit, train, and schedule musicians, vocalists, and technical volunteers.
Oversee rehearsals, sound, and live-stream setups.
Collaborate with the Lead Pastor to align worship themes with sermon series.
2. Outreach & Family Ministry
Recruit, train, and schedule musicians, vocalists, and technical volunteers.
Oversee rehearsals, sound, and live-stream setups.
Collaborate with the Lead Pastor to align worship themes with sermon series.
Develop a year-long plan of events for children, youth, and adult discipleship.
Launch community outreach projects, utilizing the Outreach Center facility.
Mobilize and mentor volunteer teams to lead small groups, VBS, and mission trips.
Track participation and follow up on first-time guests or families in need.
3. Administration & Collaboration
Maintain program calendars, budgets, and volunteer databases.
Communicate event requirements, deadlines, and progress to staff and ministry leaders.
Serve on Church Council, presenting annual worship and outreach plans.
Participate in staff meetings, offering insights on policy and procedure improvements.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years seminary training, plus at least one year serving on a church staff.
Demonstrated musical ability on a primary worship instrument; experience leading corporate worship.
Meets biblical leadership criteria (I Timothy 3:1–7; Titus 1:7–9).
Strong communicator, both verbally and in writing.
Proven organizational skills and comfort with technology platforms.
Working Conditions
Office hours as agreed with the Lead Pastor, with regular evenings/weekends for programs.
Moderate physical activity, including recreational games and event setup.
Active membership in the church, participating fully in worship and community life.
