Job Description
In this position, you will be caring for an aging, ill, or disabled individuals. The majority of your work will take place inside the home of the client. Potential responsibilities include:
· Prepare meals and snacks according to instructions; shopping or running errands may be required
· Perform light housekeeping tasks, including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, laundry, making and changing the bed, doing dishes, and cleaning the bathroom
· Provide companionship which may include accompanying the client on walks, errands, trips to social and recreational activities, and assistance with their hobbies
· If qualified, you may provide some assistance with personal care such as assisting the client with personal activities of daily living
Job Qualifications
· High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate
must be available to work year round including school breaks
· Must have a valid driver’s license and an insured automobile for work or access to adequate transportation; must have vehicle during all shifts
· Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand English
· Pass a written competency evaluation and a nationwide background check
· 1 year of experience as a caregiver/home health aide in healthcare is preferred, not required
