CMIT Solutions of The Merrimack Valley is a fast-growing managed service provider (MSP) serving small businesses with IT support, cybersecurity, and technology solutions. We’re looking for a Marketing Assistant who’s creative, organized, and ready to help us expand our reach through social media, targeted campaigns, and relationship-building with prospective clients.
Position Overview:
The Marketing Assistant will support our business development efforts by creating and managing marketing campaigns across multiple channels—including social media, email, direct mail, and in-person outreach. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both the creative side of marketing and the hands-on execution needed to deliver results.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Management
Create, schedule, and post engaging content across platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Google Business Profile, etc.).
Monitor engagement and respond to comments/messages in a timely manner.
Track social media analytics and suggest improvements for growth and engagement.
Marketing Campaigns
Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns targeting prospects and clients.
Coordinate email marketing, direct mail, and printed materials for outreach.
Develop and maintain marketing calendars for campaigns and promotions.
Work with vendors for printing, mailing, and promotional materials.
Business Development Support
Research and identify new prospect lists for outreach.
Assist in preparing presentations, proposals, and marketing materials for prospective clients.
Participate in in-person networking events, trade shows, and community outreach to promote the company.
Administrative & Coordination Duties
Maintain CRM records for prospects and campaign tracking.
Support the sales team with follow-up communications and lead nurturing activities.
Monitor and report on campaign results to help refine marketing strategies.
Qualifications:
1–3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field (internships accepted).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with social media platforms and scheduling tools (e.g., Buffer, Hootsuite, HubSpot, etc.).
Experience with email marketing software (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact, HubSpot).
Basic graphic design skills (Canva or similar tools preferred).
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in B2B or professional services marketing.
Knowledge of CRM systems.
Event planning experience.
