Your New Role
Find out what it's like to produce a daily international newscast. Join a small, dynamic team producing news and business shows for CNN International. We produce dynamic, smart programs that are widely distributed in over 200 countries and territories. We are looking for an inquisitive, thoughtful intern to join our team.
This could include, but is not limited to:
- CNN International Quest Means Business 100% In Person Intern
- CNN International The Brief with Jim Sciutto Business 100% In Person Intern
Your Role Accountabilities
- These roles are 100% in-person and will be expected to work in-office 2-3 days per week.
- Participate in daily and planning meetings
- Transcribe tape
- Identify video and use the various CNN databases
- Write for air, and work with producers from story inception to finished package
- Book and greet show guests and assist in basic administrative tasks
- Gain insight into the editorial process
- Work alongside the show team on writing, guest-booking, field producing and so much more!
- Strengthen research skills while contributing to the show
Qualifications & Experience
- Ability to work in-office 2-3 days per week
- Strong writing, research and communications skills
- Studying and interested in Business Reporting
- Must be actively enrolled in a U.S. accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)
- Must be a rising Junior, Senior or Graduate Student (18 years or older)
- Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA)
- Warner Bros. Discovery will only consider candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require work visa sponsorship from Warner Bros. Discovery now or in the future in order to retain their authorization to work in the United States. Candidates currently on any student or exchange visa, including F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1, etc., will not be eligible for the internship program.
What to know before applying:
The duration of the summer program is 10 weeks.

- Start Date: October 6th
- End Date: December 12th
Interns will be expected to work 16-24 hours per week in an in-person capacity.
Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.
Interviewing will take place from August through mid-September. A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.
