OARS Recruitment Team Student Assistant

OARS is seeking professional, responsible students to join our Recruitment Team for campus and community OARS Recruitment Days. These events provide an opportunity to engage prospective students, their families, and community members while highlighting the benefits of OARS programs, including Choose Ohio First, Collegiate Success, Peer Mentorship, and Learning Communities. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Represent the OARS Program positively during campus and community recruitment events 

Engage with prospective students, their families, and community members 

Distribute recruitment materials and giveaways 

Assist with event logistics, including setup and cleanup 

Work flexible hours (most recruitment days occur on Fridays and Saturdays) 

Perform general office duties 

Qualifications: 

Preferred candidates are students currently enrolled in one of the OARS programs, Choose Ohio First, Collegiate Success, or Peer Mentoring Scholar at The University of Akron  

Strong communication and interpersonal skills 

Enthusiastic about supporting prospective students 

Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor 

Comfortable speaking in small groups
