Operations Assistant

This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, fast-paced team and get hands-on experience across the operational side of a growing fashion brand. We’re seeking a driven, detail-oriented Operations Assistant to support our inventory, logistics, and production processes. You’ll work closely with our Head of Operations and Product teams to keep orders, shipments, and internal systems running smoothly.

This is a New York–based role, working on-site from our Manhattan studio.

Responsibilities:

Manage new sample logging, labeling, and tracking for internal use and retail partners

Track open purchase orders (POs), follow up on receiving, update timelines, and maintain accurate records

Monitor incoming shipments, late stock, and delivery timelines

Support wholesale operations on Faire: monitor late shipments, update stock, and coordinate with Product Assistant

Coordinate specialty shipments for national and international retailers, ensuring compliance with packing and documentation requirements

Assist warehouse coordination, including shipment schedules, packing requirements, and inventory maintenance

Maintain organized product and shipping documentation

Assist with inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies

Prepare and ship samples to press, influencers, and retail buyers

Pull basic operational reports (late shipments, incoming inventory, PO status)

Support cross-functional teams during product launches, trade shows, and seasonal collections

Keep studio, sample racks, and storage areas organized

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, Supply Chain, or related field — or equivalent relevant experience

Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Comfortable learning inventory management platforms such as ShipHero, Shopify, and NuORDER

Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, etc.)

Experience communicating in Chinese is a plus, particularly for coordinating with certain vendors and partners

Interest in sustainable fashion and design is a plus

Must be based in NYC and available to work on-site
