Automotive Marketing Coordinator

Job SummaryThe Automotive Marketing Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Sales Department, acting as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams. This position ensures accurate documentation, timely communication, and seamless coordination with Engineering, Program Management, Quality, Materials, and Finance. The Coordinator manages customer quotes, develops sales forecasts for the USA market to support strategic planning, and drives exceptional service to foster business growth.Essential FunctionsQuote Management

  • Develop, maintain, and update internal quote systems to ensure precision and timely delivery of quotes to customers.
  • Collaborate with customers to gather requirements and provide accurate quotes for new automotive products, aligning with technical and commercial specifications.
  • Track and report quote statuses to meet customer deadlines and internal performance metrics.
  • Prepare, submit, and close quotes, securing necessary approvals and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate with Engineering and Program Management to validate technical feasibility and cost estimates for new product quotes.

Sales Forecasting & Strategic Planning

  • Create and maintain accurate sales forecasts for automotive products in the USA, analyzing market trends, customer demand, and historical sales data.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Finance teams to develop strategic sales plans based on forecast insights, identifying growth opportunities and risks.
  • Monitor market conditions, competitor activities, and industry trends to inform forecasting and strategic decision-making.
  • Present forecast reports to senior management to support long-term planning and resource allocation.

Customer & Program Support

  • Conduct thorough contract reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance with customer expectations.
  • Process and track purchase orders for production, service, tooling, and prototypes.
  • Manage invoicing for prototypes, lump-sum orders, and new product launches, resolving payment discrepancies with Finance.
  • Communicate customer requirements and expectations to plant and corporate teams, ensuring alignment across departments.
  • Maintain Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) documentation and customer-specific files for traceability and compliance.
  • Coordinate meetings, follow-ups, and action plans to resolve commercial and technical issues.
  • Update customer portals with quotations, capacity plans, tooling details, and plant performance data.

Sales Operations & Reporting

  • Analyze market conditions and customer feedback to identify strategic opportunities for new product introductions and market expansion.
  • Participate in technical reviews, customer visits, and trade shows to strengthen customer relationships.
  • Prepare professional customer presentations and support account managers with day-to-day sales activities.
  • Review engineering change requests to assess quoting and forecasting implications.
  • Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 regulations and customer-specific quality standards.

Employment Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience in the automotive industry considered.
  • Direct experience with original equipment (OE) automotive customers strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and forecasting tools/software.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in market research, sales forecasting, and strategic planning.
  • Exceptional teamwork, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for customer interactions and internal collaboration.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Business acumen with a proactive approach to identifying market opportunities and driving results.
