Assistant Producer

Overview: Interning as an Assistant Producer at PBS Guam gives college students hands-on experience in media production while contributing to impactful community projects. Interns engage in all stages of production—research, logistics, and post-production—developing skills in project management, communication, and creative problem-solving. These transferable skills prepare students for careers in media, marketing, education, public relations, and more. Working in a collaborative, storytelling-focused environment, interns help create programming that informs and inspires audiences across Guam and beyond.

Duties

Research and Development:

  • Assist in researching topics, gathering relevant information, and compiling resources to support production projects. This may include identifying potential interview subjects, locations, and archival materials.

Production Support: 

  • Help coordinate logistics for shoots, including scheduling, equipment setup, and managing on-site needs. You may also assist in maintaining communication with crew members and talent to ensure smooth operations during filming.

Post-Production Assistance: 

  • Participate in the editing process by organizing footage, logging content, and providing feedback on edits. You may also help prepare promotional materials and social media content to promote completed projects.
