Full-Stack & Front End Software Engineer

Company Overview: RepRally is a Series A technology startup based in New York City. At RepRally, we’re building the ecosystem for wholesale commerce. RepRally unites brands, sales reps, and retailers into one platform. Our company is scaling exponentially, and we’re hiring key personnel across our commercial teams. While we intentionally keep a low profile, our nimble team consists of elite talent supported by leading venture capital firms including Greylock Partners, Infinity Ventures, and Indicator Ventures.

We're seeking an full-stack, backend leaning Software Engineer to contribute to the development of our core platform. As a key part of our early team, you will be a leader in our growing company and have a direct impact on the future of our platform and product roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will be in charge of driving large initiatives spanning the various products and services, coordinating with cross-functional partners and teams, and defining a clear path to complex requirements.
• Create paved paths and best practices within the reviews, standards, and insights space
• Lead efforts to architect, build, and launch solutions for serving review flows and providing data to our users.
• Provide critical input in team roadmap and technical direction.
• Influence and collaborate with stakeholders to adopt team goals and roadmaps.
• Build efficient and backend solutions that are reliable, performant, and scalable.

Technical Requirements:

• Experience with designing and building large-scale production systems or features.
• Technical leadership: hands-on experience leading project teams, setting technical direction and strategy, prototyping to iterate ideas, and working cross-functionally with the product team.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills. Examples of working across teams and organizations on technical initiatives.
• Willing to work across the full stack to address technical challenges anywhere in the system.
• Proficiency in one or more backend server languages (Go/Ruby/Java/Kotlin).
• Experience with modern JavaScript/Typescript libraries and tooling (e.g. React, graphql).
• Expertise in popular storage systems such as relational databases, MySQL, and caching.
• Passionate about design and building UX products. You bring flexibility to collaboration with design and product partners by presenting tradeoffs and iterating to the ideal solution.

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of engineering experience required
• The role is based in our office in NYC
• We prefer candidates with direct experience in startups
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
