Introduction

Olsträd Corporation (OC) is seeking a marketing intern to support our automation group. Duties include:

  • Researching the manufacturing automation market to uncover new business opportunities
  • Helping us discover the avenues manufacturers use to find automation integrators
  • Finding networking opportunities to put our team in front of prospects
  • Innovating novel ways our team can stand out from the competition
  • Assisting in creating content for social media, email newsletters, case studies, and other marketing materials, with a focus on engaging with a technical audience and promoting the company's expertise in automation 

We will hire an intern who is bright, engaged, and eager to learn about the manufacturing automation market. We favor candidates with GPAs ≥ 3.5. 

Applicants must have:

  • Strong communications skills (written, spoken and visual)
  • Completed at least two years of college,
  • Strong computer-based word processing skills
  • Strong organizational skills 
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment

While this internship is scheduled to start as soon as possible during Fall Semester, a continuation through Spring Semester is possible upon mutual agreement of firm and student.

Location

We’re located in Kent, Ohio — a twenty- to thirty-minute commute from the Akron area. Kent is a college town offering a wealth of remarkable landmarks and businesses. Our building is situated between two sets of operating train tracks, and the Cuyahoga River is a short walk away, where seasonal kayaking is extremely popular.

Application Process

Please submit your resumé through Handshake and include your GPA (resumes without GPAs will not be considered). The first phone interview is brief (10-15 minutes); the second phone interview is more intensive (30-45 minutes). Following this is an informal, in-person interview with one or two members of the management team and the president of our company.

 

We take recruiting very seriously; our application process could take up to two weeks from start to finish. In the case that the position is formally offered and accepted, the start date could be as soon as the following Monday, pending prior obligations on the part of the applicant.
