Financial Administrator
SUMMARY
The Financial Administrator will support the overall property accounting for a portfolio of commercial, market-rate housing, and affordable housing properties. They will assist in a range of accounting initiatives including general ledger review, budgeting, and monthly/year-end financial review. The Junior Financial Administrator will also assist with posting of global journal entries and reports, preparation of CAT and sales/use filings, and other projects as assigned.
This is an entry-level position, with on-the-job training designed to activate your early career in real estate accounting. Recent college graduates and seniors who are on-track to graduate soon are highly encouraged to apply!
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Track and reconcile bank statements
- Prepare, track, and reconcile ledgers and budgets
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries and accruals
- Perform accounting reconciliations and account analysis
- Identify and correct miscalculations and financial discrepancies
- Prepare month-end and year-end closing schedules.
- Prepare and/or review monthly financial statement packages for investors/owners.
- Provide administrative support during budget preparation and audits
- Stay current with relevant regulations, requirements, and laws
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar required
- 1+ years of relevant accounting experience preferred
- Experience in real estate / property accounting is a plus
- Strong knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
- Advanced MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions)
- Familiarity with accounting software (familiarity with Yardi is a plus)
- Competence in Microsoft Office – Excel, Outlook, Word
- Organizational and time-management skills

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- $55,000 - $60,000 annual salary

WORK SETTING & DETAIL
- Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday
- Work Location: On-site, corporate office
- Reliably commute to position location or relocate prior to starting work.
