USGS in Carson City, NV: Hydrologic Technician Field Assistant

As a Hydrologic Technician (Field Assistant) within the Southwest Region, some of your specific duties will include:

  • Collect surface-water, ground-water, and quality-water data from gaging stations, wells, or QW monitoring stations.
  • Perform laboratory analysis of water samples to determine specified sediment, chemical, or biological concentrations or physical characteristics.
  • Operate a government motor vehicle as an incidental driver.

The position will open on Monday, 8/18 and will close on 8/22. This position is a GG-5 ($21.42 hourly (Step 01) to $27.85 hourly (Step 10) and is limited to 1,039 hours in a 1-year period.
