Hanson Center for Communications Tutor
Are you an engineering undergraduate who has completed your first year and has experience in writing, preparing data and giving presentations? Are you interested in a paid position where you can use and grow those skills while assisting your fellow students?
The Hanson Center for Communication (HCC)’s undergraduate tutor position may be a good fit for you!
As an HCC tutor, your duties will consist of working with other undergraduate engineering students to provide feedback on drafts of lab reports, writing assignments, and presentations. To ensure you are supported in your role, Hanson Center holds weekly one-hour meeting/training sessions for all our tutors.
Applicants must be undergraduate engineering students who have completed their first year. Tutors will be compensated $12 per hour, for a regular 4-8 hours a week (you will arrange your schedule with HCC) throughout the academic year. Tutoring sessions will be conducted in in-person meetings with students in the Engineering Library’s HCC room (2228 SC), with the option of some remote tutoring.
