Worship Intern
Position Overview
This is a 12-week Summer Internship with the Creative Arts Ministry. This position is involved in every aspect of the weekly responsibilities of the ministry – from creating excellent weekend services to supporting other mid-week ministries. This experience will provide hands-on training, mentorship by experienced ministry leaders, and opportunities to build valuable experience in worship and tech.
Essential Job Functions
- Assist the Creative Arts Ministry Staff in all aspects of regular summer ministry.
- Participate in weekly planning and prep for weekend services and weekend teams.
- Serve every weekend in band or tech role.
- Daily and weekly responsibilities given by Worship Ministry Manager and overseen by Lead Pastor of Campus Culture.
- Training in weekend service planning, tech equipment, and worship leading (if applicable).
- Weekly mentorship meetings for training on leadership and skills for ministry (with Lead Pastor of Campus Culture, Worship Ministry Manger, and Tech Manager).
- Will attend Monthly Leadership Meetings for further training.
- 12 week internship with an option of two weeks unpaid vacation time.
- Weeks no to be taken off unless given specific permission:
- July 15th – 20th: Momentum Youth Conference
- August 4th – 8th: Bible Camp

Specific Requirements
- Currently Enrolled in Undergraduate Studies.
- Actively pursuing full-time vocational ministry.
- Some previous experience with worship and/or tech ministries.
- Your own means of transportation.
Spiritual Life
- Growing in faith as a believer in Christ (2 Peter 1:5-11).
- Must have a teachable spirit and servant’s heart (Philippians 2:1-11).
- Work as for the Lord (Colossians 3:23).
- Love Christ with a desire to see others love and know Him (Ephesians 3:14-19).
- Has a vibrant prayer life, as this is the beginning to healthy ministry and job function (1 John 5:14).
General Requirements
- A committed and faithful attendee of the Grace Church campus of which you are employed.
- Adheres to and supports the vision and philosophy of Grace Church and its leadership, including the Statement of Faith and Staff Creed.
- Have attended or is in the process of attending the campus introduction classes within the first six months of hire.
- Has a teachable spirit and servant’s heart (Philippians 2:1-11).
- Will care for others by appropriately praying with, consoling, speaking of Christ and/or sharing scripture. Always concerned about the spiritual welfare of others. (I John 5:14)
- Growing in faith as a believer in Christ (2 Peter 1:5-11). Has a solid understanding of biblical community including participating in on-going biblical community at Grace Church.
- Is a good steward of the Lord’s money; uses time and resources wisely with the giver’s sacrifice in mind (2 Corinthians 8).
- Will serve teammates and the whole of Grace Church sacrificially as part of one united team, serving together.
- Handles confidential matters and material with integrity and an intuitive understanding of sensitive ministry information. Communicates information to pastoral staff as appropriate.
- Is proficient and confident in computer skills that include the programs of Microsoft Office; willing to learn in-house management systems.
