JB Sports is an event management company that coordinates some of New England’s top running events, fitness expos, and health walks including the New Haven Road Race, Fairfield Half Marathon, and Cheshire Half Marathon. We coordinate all aspects of our events, from concept to completion. JB Sports is responsible for event promotion, marketing, and advertising as well as sponsor acquisition, media relations, vendor selection, budgeting, permitting, site designs, event safety, and more. About the Role:
The Event Marketing Coordinator will be a team player who is eager to play a multifaceted role in several events at once. Candidates should be comfortable working in a small office setting. This is a full-time, in-office position with some weekend work required.
Responsibilities
- Email marketing
- Sponsorship package copywriting and design
- Press release writing and updating
- Social media copywriting and design
- Creation of fundraising materials
- Database management
- Website maintenance and updating
- Event merchandise procurement
- Print and digital media
Required Qualifications/skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail orientated.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of the team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Comfortable learning and utilizing new technology.
- All candidates must have valid driver’s license and reliable means of transportation.
Preferred Qualifications/skills:
- Experience in creating email campaigns using email marketing platforms.
- Experience creating web design & digital graphics for email & social media marketing.
- Experience creating and editing PDFs.
- Experience creating graphics on Canva.
Must be comfortable with animals (we have an office dog!).
